Before email, the world of scholarship relied on its own networks, which facili- tated the dissemination and criticism of ideas and the spread of political news, as well as the circulation of people and objects. But what did these networks actually look like? This project develops interactive visualisation tools based on the correspondence between thinkers and intellectuals to understand how ideas were transmitted in the Europe of the Enlightenment.
