Balloon Mapping Kit | The Public Laboratory

Public Lab is a non-profit community that develops open code tools and applies them to the exploration and investigation of the environment. The instruments included in the Balloon Mapping Kit are designed to provide simple, cheap and safe methods for making maps and obtaining aerial images. The use of a balloon and a kite controlled from the ground permits a response to the need to record events or environmental conditions at a specific time. Public Lab is especially interested in using this equipment for civil and environmental applications.
