Visual Complexity | Manuel Lima

Over the course of its history, the discipline of information design has developed a rich vocabulary to visually express the relationships between different agents that form part of a complex network. Since 2005, Visualcomplexity.com has catalogued examples of different methodologies used to express the relationships in a set of data. “Visual Complexity: Mapping Patterns of Information” is an atlas of visualisation produced based on work previously compiled on a website, that allows the evolution of the visual language of data to be followed since the start of the practice of this science up to the present day.
