We Feel Fine | Jonathan Harris and Sep Kanvar
We feel fine is a project that explores human emotions on a global scale. Every few minutes the system searches the social networks, based on the expressions “I feel” and “I am feeling”, human sentiments. The content of the full sentence is recorded and feeling expressed is identified according to the adjectives included in that sentence. Where possible, complementary data are also recorded such as the age, gender and location of the author, or the local weather conditions at the time the sentence was written. The database contains millions of human feelings, and increases at a rate of between 15,000 and 20,000 feelings per day. We feel fine is divided into six movements, each of which expresses a different aspect of the selected population. These movements are: Madness, Murmurs, Montage, Mobs, Metrics and Mounds.
